ABOUT OUR BOWS

The following is information that will answer some questions about my line of bows.

I started to design my bows in the Winter of 1975. The present generation of bows are built with about twenty years of experience. The design and performance have been arrived at by trial and error and listening to fellow bowhunters to learn what they want in a hunting bow. The speed, beauty and performance of my present bows come as close as possible to this goal.

I only make the bow in a take-down model. A take-down bow is easier to carry on hunting trips or bow shoots. Also with a take-down bow, you can carry extra limbs and change the draw weight of your bow.

My bows are made in 58", 60", 62" and 64" lengths. They are also available in right or left hand models. I make bows in draw weights from 50 lbs. to 75 lbs. The bows will gain 3 lbs. per inch over 28" on the 64" risers. On the 60" and 62" lengths, the draw weight will gain 3 1/2 lbs. per inch. 66" bows available upon request.

The riser design presently used was arrived at after a lot of changes and bowhunter's input, to get the feel that suits most recurve shooters. It is shaped to blend into the recurve limbs and also be strong and attractive.

In choosing the bow length you want, I always recommend the longest bow you are comfortable with as it will have less finger pinch and be more forgiving. If you are going from a compound to a recurve, you will lose from one inch to two inches of draw length. Don't get "over-bowed". A 50 lb. to 60 lb. bow will kill any game found in the United States. Also with a bow you are comfortable with, you will practice more and in turn, be a better shot.

I use brass inserts to hold and align the limbs to the riser. The riser is designed to shoot off the shelf, both the window and shelf are rounded, but an elevated rest can be used. The window is cut past center so with a calf hair rest or a flipper type rest, the bow will be centershot.

I don't put inserts in my bow for sights or quiver unless requested. The risers are finished with a two part epoxy finish. Then they are buffed to a satin finish.

GUARANTEE: Under normal use and reasonable care, I guarantee the materials and workmanship 100% the first year and 50% the second and third year. This applies to the original owner.
